About the performers

For Eindhoven, a city that presents itself as artistic and innovative, it is CoMa Eindhoven is an enrichment. It consists of advanced amateur musicians who, in a limited number of rehearsals, rehearse a concert program of complex pieces. Many of our musicians have extensive experience in the classical repertoire. The joy of CoMA lies in the challenge of performing compositions by contemporary composers, something most amateur orchestras don’t have the opportunity to do. This sometimes involves using playing techniques that are unusual in the classical repertoire.

The CoMa concept originated in England, and the name is an abbreviation of Contemporary Music for All. More information www.coma.org

About Composer’s Day

The fifth edition of Composer’s Day will take place on and around Saturday, June 20, 2026. During the national festival, more than twenty participating cities will celebrate their composers with a variety of activities, such as concerts, workshops, and lectures.

Music by Eindhoven composer Mark Hendriks will be performed for the Cathrien.
