The sound paintings alternate with Christmas carols by Bob Chilcott and Joan Szymko, among others.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>Benjamin Britten&#8217;s Ceremony of Carols occupies an important place during this concert. It is a collection of songs composed especially for Christmas during wartime (1942), in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Each song has its own character: sometimes cheerful or hopeful, other times virtuoso or comforting. The texts are based on poems from the Middle Ages and the sixteenth century.<\/div>\n<h4>About the Performers<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/koorschoolmiddenlimburg.nl\/giocoso\/\">Women&#8217;s Choir Giocoso<\/a> consists of singers in their twenties and thirties and sing a modern classical repertoire.
