About the performers
Evelien Wolting started recorder lessons at the age of 7 and later switched to alto recorder. In 2010, Evelien was admitted to the Zwolle Conservatory. She studied there with Marjolijn van Roon.
In 2012 she continued her education at the Fontys Conservatory with Sascha Mommertz, where she graduated in 2015 with the use of, among other things, a csakan, a walking stick recorder from the 19th century.
Between 2012 and 2013 she participated in taken at the Royal Wind Academy with a specialization in Renaissance music. Between 2013-2020 she studied baroque oboe with lessons from Nienke van der Meulen from Baarn
She has her own practice in recorder lessons in Waalre and is affiliated with the Regional Institute for Culture and Arts Education (RICK) in Weert, at the Center for Music and Dance (CMD) in Valkenswaard and at the Art Quarter in Helmond.
Eelco Kooiker received his first organ lessons from his father at a young age. At the age of 11 he switched to harpsichord and was taught by Kya Hengstmangers.
In 2001 he graduated from the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht in precision engineering and continued his studies at the Eindhoven University of Technology where he graduated in November 2005.
In addition to his studies at the TU/e Eindhoven, he took organ lessons with Ruud Huijbregts and studied harpsichord at the Brabants Conservatorium with Remy Syrier. Since 2019 he has been associated with the Agnus Dei as an organist church in Waalre. In 2020 he started organizing the AD concerts.
Eelco also took singing lessons with Ludy Vrijdag and regularly participates in projects of the Ariosto Ensemble as a harpsichordist and singer.
In 2009 he founded Ensemble Joyeux, which focuses on performing French baroque music, playing as much as possible from the original notations.
Together with Martijn Verbrugh, Eelco founded the continuo ensemble Profondamente, which regularly accompanies chamber choirs, vocal ensembles and soloists. and also organizes its own projects.
