About the Performer

Tommy van Doorn. (1990) is active as an organist, carillon player, harmonium player, choir accompanist and musicologist.

He is the principal organist of the Sint-Petrusbasiliek in Boxtel (where he plays the monumental Smits organ from 1842) and carillon player of Boxtel, Geldrop, Schijndel, Son, Valkenswaard and Waalre. He is also the concert organist of the Smits organ (1852) of the Heilige Servatiuskerk in Schijndel. He works as a principal subject teacher of carillon at the Utrecht Conservatory and also teaches at the HKU Dutch Carillon School in Amersfoort. He also works as an organ teacher in Helmond, Boxtel and Schijndel.
