About the performer
Jan Verschuren (1962) started playing the piano at the age of ten with Kees Luyckx. He studied electrical engineering at the TU in Eindhoven and organ with Hub. Houët. He continued his organ studies with Reitze Smits at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven and completed this with a first prize. At At the Utrecht Conservatory he studied – also with Reitze Smits – for the degree of ‘performing’ musician.
In 2006 he was appointed University Organist at the Eindhoven University of Technology.
