Programme
Markus Passion
Jacob de Haan’s Markus Passion is a powerful musical story about suffering, sacrifice and hope for a new beginning. This is brought to life by the alternation of soprano singing, baritone singing and spoken word, which together create a compelling and dynamic story.
Easter coincides with spring, a time of new life and growth. Just as nature recovers after the winter, this music – with emotional singing and compelling spoken text – emphasises the power to look forward again after difficult times. It is about loss, but above all about resilience and new beginnings.
