About the performers
Kali Baldou (1996), is a dedicated and experienced flutist, born in Kefalonia and currently based in the Netherlands. Her artistic activities focus on both solo and chamber music repertoire, supplemented by active involvement in interdisciplinary projects and performances. She graduated from the Agricultural University of Athens with a master’s degree in biotechnology (2021) and obtained a diploma in flute playing (2020) in Athens, achieving an excellent grade while studying with the esteemed professor Ms. Natalia Gerakis. She is currently following the bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance at the Fontys Academy of the Arts in Tilburg, under the guidance of Leon Berendse and Edith van Dyck.
In her flute playing she presents a repertoire that varies from classical works to collaborations with various orchestras and ensembles. She has performed in various concert halls and festivals in Greece and the Netherlands, including the Athens Concert Hall, the National Opera and the November Music Festival. As a soloist she has taken on challenging pieces such as the Concerto for 2 flutes by D. Chimarosa and ‘La Tempesta di Mare’ by A. Vivaldi, demonstrating her versatile musicality.
Angeliki Kokkinou, born in 1997 in Athens, is a pianist currently living in the Netherlands. Her main focus is on solo and chamber music repertoire, as well as on interdisciplinary projects and performances. She strives to contribute to the mosaic of classical and contemporary piano by working closely with composers and performing new music.
After graduating from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with a bachelor’s degree in musicology (2022) and obtaining a diploma in piano performance (2018) in Athens, she is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in piano at the Fontys Academy of the Arts in Tilburg , led by Keiko Shichijo. She has performed in various concert halls and festivals in Greece and the Netherlands, such as Korzo Theater, Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT) and Music Festival.
